Dr. Yee Leng Loh - MD, FRCP (UK), FAFRM (RACP), CertPI, CertIME
Currently working as a consultant in stroke and geriatric rehabilitation services, providing care for individuals with complex medical and surgical needs in Queensland Health.
She completed her medical degree in Malaysia in 2006 and worked as a General Medicine Physician before migrating to Australia. Dr. Loh developed her interest in rehabilitation medicine while working in a stroke unit, managing hyperacute stroke survivors, in 2015.
Throughout her training, she gained extensive experience in managing patients with strokes, brain and spinal injuries, heart disease, general deconditioning following prolonged ICU admissions, and musculoskeletal conditions or post-joint replacements. She values patient-entered care and is committed to optimising the best outcomes for her patients. Her special interests include post-stroke and geriatric rehabilitation.
Dr. Loh is also an accredited ultrasound-guided botulinum toxin injector for managing focal spasticity.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Loh is passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge. She currently serves as an associate lecturer at the University of Queensland and is a supervisor for residents, registrars, and advanced trainees in local hospitals.
